Congruent Soul Therapy

Helping you come back into a more honest relationship with yourself.

No pressure to get it perfect. Take what resonates. Leave the rest.

I'm Candice, a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist providing online therapy for adults and couples in Pennsylvania and Georgia, with Florida telehealth registration.

I work with overthinkers, recovering people-pleasers, burnt-out helpers, and people who are really good at holding everything together but aren't always sure how to stop.

My goal isn't to help you become a better version of the person everyone else needs you to be. It's to help you build a more honest, intentional relationship with yourself.

Living and Working More Congruently

Founder of Congruent Soul and Co-Founder of MFT GROW

Both grew out of a question that has shaped my personal and professional life:

What does it actually look like to live in a way that feels congruent with who you are?

Not perfectly aligned. Not endlessly self-optimized. Not doing everything right.

Just learning to make choices that reflect your values while considering yourself, other people, and the circumstances you're navigating.

My career began in intensive outpatient drug and alcohol recovery, where I saw how deeply people can heal when they're met with honesty, safety, and compassion.

I later worked with neurodivergent adults, a chapter that also helped me better understand my own neurospicy identity.

Eventually, I stepped into my dream role supporting high-functioning women navigating emotional exhaustion, overthinking, and people-pleasing. I also served as Clinical Director at an award-winning group practice.

From the outside, things looked successful. On the inside, I was burning out.

Stepping away from that role became a turning point. It pushed me to reconsider what success, sustainability, and living congruently actually meant in my own life.

Congruent Soul began as a space for sharing therapeutic insights and resources for fellow overthinkers and recovering people-pleasers. It eventually grew into Congruent Soul Therapy, my private practice, where I bring these ideas into the therapy room.

Along the way, I created other spaces for creativity, reflection, and professional growth, including Somewhat Congruent and MFT GROW.

The thread connecting all of it is the same: helping people find ways to live and work that feel more honest, sustainable, and connected to who they are.

Who I Work With

The people who find me are often the ones everyone else counts on.

They're overthinkers, perfectionists, deep feelers, high-achievers, caretakers, and burnt-out helpers who have become very good at managing everything except their own exhaustion.

Many are navigating:

  • Anxiety and overthinking that make it hard to switch off.

  • People-pleasing, boundary struggles, and taking responsibility for everyone else's feelings.

  • Burnout from constantly pushing through.

  • ADHD and other neurodivergent experiences.

  • Identity, self-trust, and figuring out what they actually want.

  • Relationship patterns that keep repeating, even when they understand why.

  • The complicated middle of life transitions and changing expectations.

I also welcome LGBTQIA+ clients and people whose experiences don't fit neatly into traditional expectations of what life, relationships, or healing are “supposed” to look like.

Many of my clients are already highly self-aware. They know their patterns. They can explain where those patterns came from. But knowing why you do something doesn't always make it easier to do something differently.

If you've ever felt like everyone else got the manual for life that you somehow missed, you might feel at home here.

What Therapy Feels Like With Me

Expect real talk, honest reflection, gentle sarcasm, and room to be an actual human.

We won't just talk about what's happening in your head. We'll pay attention to how your patterns show up in your body, your relationships, your choices, and your everyday life.

Together, we might explore how you learned to put your needs aside, why overthinking can feel safer than sitting with uncertainty, or what happens when you try to set a boundary and immediately feel guilty about it.

We'll get curious about the patterns that once helped you cope but may no longer be serving you.

There will be space for messiness, humor, tears, uncomfortable realizations, and the occasional “holy shit”.

This isn't about fixing you or turning you into someone who never struggles.

It's about understanding yourself more deeply and building more options for how you respond

Credentials & Professional Background

I bring both clinical training and lived experience to my work.

  • M.A. in Marriage and Family Therapy — Seton Hill University

  • B.A. in Art Therapy — Seton Hill University

  • Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist — Pennsylvania and Georgia

  • Florida telehealth registration

My professional experience includes intensive outpatient substance use recovery, working with neurodivergent adults, supporting clients navigating emotional exhaustion and people-pleasing, and serving as a Clinical Director in a group practice.

I'm also the co-founder of MFT GROW, a professional development initiative supporting emerging therapists in building grounded, sustainable careers.

My clinical perspective is relational and systems-aware. I consider the ways our relationships, histories, environments, and learned patterns shape our experiences.

I believe therapy should make room for the complexity of being human, not reduce you to a label or a list of symptoms.

You can learn more about my clinical philosophy, training, and the ideas that inform my work on the [My Approach] page.

A Quick Vibe Check

(AKA: Me as a Human)

Because therapy works best when you feel comfortable with the person sitting across from you on the screen.

  • A few things about me:

    • Cat mom to Clancy and Cleo.

    • Firm believer that overhead lighting is the devil's work.

    • Fluent in sarcasm and chaotic humor.

    • A nerd at heart: Star Wars, Star Trek, and all the wonderfully niche interests.

    • A little woo, a little science, and very interested in how the two can coexist.

    • Will absolutely get excited when you tell me about something you love.

I'm a neurospicy overthinker and recovering people-pleaser myself. I know how loud your mind can get, how easy it is to over-function, and how difficult it can be to slow down enough to hear yourself.

That doesn't mean our experiences have to be the same for me to be curious about yours.

It means you don't have to present a polished version of yourself here.

Nothing needs to be said perfectly. You can bring the messy thoughts, the uncomfortable questions, the niche interests, and the things you've been afraid to say out loud.

We'll make room for all of it.

Ready to See If We're a Good Fit?

You don't need to know exactly what you need from therapy.

You don't need to have the whole plan figured out, and you definitely don't need to get your introduction perfect.

Let's start with a conversation.

My free 15-minute Vibe Check is a chance to ask questions, share a little about what brings you to therapy, and see whether working together feels like a match.

No pressure. No commitment. Just a first step.

Here’s a little more about the work I offer and the spaces I’ve created.
